Trip to San Cassiano di Controne

Last year we visited this village with its ancient church, and saw an intriguing walk heading off downhill: we decided to investigate further.

With a lot of rainfall recently, the Lima river at Ponte al Seraglio was in spate ...
Spectacular limestone crags above the town
Is it art? - or is it someone trying out colours ...
The Romanesque church in San Cassiano
Still love the happy-clappy figures on the facade
On the walk - Barbara among the crocuses and Helleborus - they are difficult to capture in a photo
View up the Lima valley to our next stop - Vico Pancellorum
