Penny departed a few days ago, but before she left we visited the old village of Coreglia Antelminelli (which is hardly as big as its name). It has a very interesting museum about the figurinai or figurinisti - the men who migrated all over the world with their moulds on their back, making figurines in gesso. The caretaker explained that there were originally seven workshops here early in the 20th century. Two still remain down in the valley - one with a workforce fourteen or so...
