Town of Towers

We enjoyed our stay at L'Antico Pozzo Hotel (The Old Well) in San Gimignano, and visited some artworks we had missed last time, climbed up the highest tower, and ate some World Champion (it said on the sign!) ice cream.  As the sun set, we climbed up to the old fort for wide views of the town and countryside.

The twin towers look remarkably like their NY namesakes, which locals claim were copied from theirs...

    Brings back memories of going there years ago with Mum and Dad. Mum had lost her voice but quickly worked out sign language to say she would like ice cream!
